In July 2022, around 6000 students from all over Europe will come to Lodz to compete in 20 sports disciplines. The event will be supported by 1000 volunteers, including around 150 foreign volunteers. The European Universities Games is an event dedicated to student-athletes from European Universities, held since 2012. After competitions in Spain, the Netherlands, Croatia and Portugal, the Lodz edition will be the fifth event of the cycle. More than 1,000 volunteers have been involved in organising each previous EUSA Games, including big groups of international volunteers.
Anyone over the age of 18 can become a volunteer. Those wishing to volunteer at the Games in Lodz can apply to help in any area related to the organisation of the event, including accommodation, accreditation, sport, media, IT. The full list of departments and the characteristics of the volunteer tasks in each of them can be found on the event’s website. Volunteers will receive an outfit, a set of gadgets and food, and for people from outside Lodz, limited accommodation places will be provided. Volunteers will also take part in a number of pre-event training sessions and will have the opportunity to participate in educational and cultural events during the Games.
You may register at https://eug2022.eu/en/volunteering/; the first deadline is January 31, 2022. Chosen applicants will be invited for an interview with the volunteers leader. In spring, we plan a series of online trainings and meetings, and in July a rich programme of seminars and conferences will be presented.
